History of the Bodega

Bodegas Félix Callejo is located in Sotillo de la Ribera (Spain), at the heart of the “Ribera del Duero” Denomination of Origin. From its birth in 1989 as an answer to a long family tradition, the venture has thrived thanks to the enthusiasm and drive which the Callejo family has dedicated to it.

To achieve the desired result, we sought collaboration and help from only the best specialists, and this is how we have built our new cellar equipped with the most modern technology that distinguishes its style. From this moment, the Callejo family has been dedicated to producing and ageing some of the best wines. Since the first harvest - Tinto Callejo 1989 – the Callejo wines have merited a presence not only in the national market, but also throughout Europe and beyond, including the Americas and even Japan. Mr. Callejo has given his wine to the best Connoisseurs of wine to taste, proudly bearing the name of “Ribera del Duero” in all of the countries that he has visited.

Since 1993 all of this effort has been rewarded, not only in the commercial environment, but also in the favorable opinion of qualified professionals. Callejo wine has won numerous national and international awards. Our wines have been selected to appear in the most prestigious specialized wine magazines.
