Reserva Magnum

Reserva Magnum

VARIETY

100% Tinto Fino from goblet pruned old grape vines.

ELABORATION

The vintage of 1996 was qualified as “excellent”, and is considered one of the greatest wines of the 90’s. The vineyard completed all of its vegetative cycle in climatic conditions that could not have been better, culminating in a healthy harvest free of rain. In the middle of October we manually harvest the grapes and place them in boxes, before the table selection. From there they are transferred to stainless steel vats where they undergo temperature-controlled fermentation. The wine is macerated with its skins for 30 days and then malolactic fermentation at 20 º C follows. At the end of the process the wine will obtain an alcoholic grade of 13.5% vol.

AGENING

The wine is transferred to new American Oak casks in December, and aged for 18 months.

BOTTLED

In September 1998, 4, 569 Magnum 1.5 L bottles.
